My 6 Favorite WordPress Plugins

In this industry that we call Network Marketing more and more people are taking their business’ online. If you haven’t done so already I would highly suggest creating your own blog and branding you instead of your company. This will allow you to expand your reach.

If you haven’t been living under a rock for the past 10 years you probably know what WordPress is. It’s a website editing software with tons of customization. The software uses plugins to allow you to enhance your page and make it look however you want. I want to share with you my top 6 favorite WordPress plugins.

Prettylink

This plugin allows you to create pretty looking links. Hence the name. For example, without prettylink I used to give people http://eepurl.com/b25cLn to find my FREE resource guide called the ‘7 Deadly Sins of Network Marketing and How to Avoid Them.’ Instead, I created a link that was much cleaner. Now I can give out TylerRedman.com/7sins and it will redirect to the above opt in page.

Sumo Me

This plugin allows you to create pop up opt in forms on your page. If you have a free giveaway then I would highly suggest using SumoMe. They also have a cool looking social media share bar that you can customize and put on your page. This makes it easier for people to share your content on social media.

WP Smush

This plugin allows you to shrink the size of all of the photos on your page. The last thing you want when someone goes to visit your page is for it to take forever to load. By smushing the size of the photos on your page it will load much faster. It will also keep people from bouncing off your page.

All 404 Redirect

Have you ever seen a 404 error page when you tried to go to a webpage? This usually means that you didn’t type in the address 100% correctly. With this plugin you can set all 404 error pages to redirect to a certain page. For example, my 404 error pages’ redirect to my blog home page. Go ahead and try to go to TylerRedman.com/error. It’s not a working page so it should get a 404 error. Instead, where did you end up?

Google Analytics

Be forewarned. This plugin takes some work and a bit of knowhow. You will probably have to Google exactly how to set this one up but it will be worth it in the end. This is the easiest way to implement Google Analytics tied to your page. With Google analyzing your page 24/7 you will be able to see how exactly people land on your page, how long they stay there, and which pages they visit the most. This allows you to make changes to optimize your exposure.

Yoast SEO

This plugin teaches you exactly how to optimize your site for search engines. It’s the best one around because it will take you through this complicated process step by step even if you have no coding experience. Believe me, you want your site SEO ready so you can start to rank on Google for your niche. It helps create a lot of organic traffic.

ClicktoTweet

This is a plugin that you can implement on your page to allow people to more easily share your content on Twitter. It looks like a quotation box but it gives people the option to share it. The best part about it is you control what the tweet actually says. Check out this example below:
